SUMMARY:George Crumb: Ancient Mysteries and the Universe of Dreams
DESCRIPTION:American composer George Crumb (1929-2022) will be the focus of an evening dedicated to his work. Scott Yoo\, conductor\, violinist\, and star of PBS’ popular series Now Hear This\, will host the program with performances by pianist Adam Neiman\, flutist Alice Dade\, members of NEXUS Chamber Music\, and members of the Grossman Ensemble. In the process\, he forged a new means of musical messaging that would have a lasting effect on avant-garde music.
