SUMMARY:NEXUS Concert 3: Folk Songs in Counterpoint
DESCRIPTION:Guarneri Hall is delighted to welcome NEXUS Chamber Music Chicago back to the Hall for its second season. With four concerts planned August 28th through September 6th\, 2019\, NEXUS has programmed a wide variety of chamber works\, from standard classics to lesser-known pieces that justly deserve a place in the canon. Co-artistic directors Brian Hong and Alexander Hersh are joined by a roster of talented young musicians (a different group each week). Also\, this year NEXUS has extended fellowships to two outstanding Chicago College of the Performing Arts students who will join guest artists on the programs. \nEach NEXUS concert has a different theme.
