DESCRIPTION:Guarneri Hall launches its 2025-26 concert season with Re:newal\, the 8th Annual NEXUS Chamber Music Festival. Join us to renew and refresh your spirits through a series of three concerts that connect two world premieres with a selection of underperformed treasures from the past. \n\n\n\nNEXUS Chamber Music is the ensemble-in-residence at Guarneri Hall. Led by Co-Artistic Directors Alexander Hersh and Brian Hong\, NEXUS are driven to create unique and engaging experiences that make classical music relevant to an ever-broadening audience. \n\n\n\n\nRe:construct opens the festival with a Guarneri Hall program celebrating composers who were also distinguished performers\, featuring works by cellist Luigi Boccherini\, violinist Fritz Kreisler\, and a brand-new violin and cello duo by cellist-composer Paul Wiancko\, commissioned by NEXUS especially for this event. \n\n\n\nProgram\n\n\n\nLuigi Boccherini (1743-1805): String Quintet in E major\, Op. 11\, No. 5 (G. 275)Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962): String QuartetPaul Wiancko (b.1983): The Twelve Seasons (World Premiere) \n\n\n\nArtists: Brian Hong\, Katie Hyun and Miho Saegusa\, violins; Ramón Carrero Martínez\, viola; Alexander Hersh and Gabriel Cabezas\, cellos \n\n\n\n\n\nGuarneri Hall is committed to ensuring that all our programs and activities are accessible to all audience members.
