SUMMARY:Viola! Viola!
DESCRIPTION:A “curiously beautiful\, enigmatic instrument” is how one contemporary viola virtuoso describes the earthy\, chocolatey tone of the alto voice of string instruments. The viola\, with its remarkable pitch\, plays a starring rather than supporting role in Viola! Viola!. Join Rembrandt Chamber Musicians as they highlight this versatile instrument with friends and longtime collaborators Carol Cook and Rose Armbrust-Griffin. \nTickets—$36 General Admission/$10 Student Admission—are available on the Rembrandt event page. (Note that the January 29 event is the one that will be performed in Guarneri Hall.) \nProgram\nAntonin Dvořák: Terzetto in C Major\, Op. 74\nFrank Bridge: Lament for Two Violas\nWolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Viola Quintet in G Minor\, K. 516 \nArtists: Eoin Andersen\, violin; John Macfarlane\, violin; Carol Cook\, viola (above\, right); Rose Armbrust Griffin (above\, left)\, viola; Ken Olsen\, cello
