Adam Neiman plays Cloches à travers les feuilles, the first movement of Images Book 2, by Claude Debussy. This piece was influenced by the Javanese gamelan music that Debussy first encountered at the Paris Universal Exposition in 1889. Cloches à travers les feuilles also took inspiration from the bells in the village of Rahon in Jura, France, the ancestral home of Debussy’s friend Louis Laloy.
