FAQs

Ticketing

Tickets for Guarneri Hall Presents events can be purchased directly through our Events Calendar on guarnerihall.org. After completing your purchase, you’ll receive an e-ticket via email within about 24 hours, which you can present at the door either digitally or as a printed copy. For events presented by external organizations at Guarneri Hall, please visit the specific event page on our website for ticketing details and purchase instructions.

Due to the intimate nature of Guarneri Hall, Guarneri Hall Presents events often sell out in advance and tickets must be purchased online prior to the event.

External presenters hosting events at Guarneri Hall may choose to sell tickets at the door. Please consult the specific event page for further details.

Tickets for Guarneri Hall Presents events may be exchanged for another available Guarneri Hall Presents event within the same season, provided the request is made at least 72 hours before the scheduled performance via our contact form. The same policy holds for concerts within the Nova Linea Musica series. Exchanges are not possible across different concert series.

Refunds may be issued at the discretion of Guarneri Hall management provided the request is made at least 72 hours before the scheduled event. If you’re unable to attend and cannot exchange or refund your ticket, we encourage you to notify us so that another patron may attend in your stead.

Guarneri Hall does not have an in-person box office. For questions about upcoming events and ticketing, please use our contact form. We are happy to help!

If you need immediate assistance with an event-related matter, please email support@guarnerihall.org with “Urgent request” in the subject line. We will try our best to respond quickly.

For sold out concerts, patrons can sign up for our waitlist (located on the event page) for email notification if and when new tickets for that event become available. Waitlist tickets will be sold “first come, first served” on our website. Receiving an email notification is not a guarantee that the ticket will still be  available when you visit the website.

Address, Transportation, and Arrival

Guarneri Hall is located at 11 E. Adams St. 3rd Floor, in Chicago’s Loop, near Symphony Center and the Art Institute of Chicago. We are close to numerous bus and train routes; CTA Red and Blue Lines stop nearby at Jackson while Purple, Brown, Green, Orange, and Pink Lines are steps away at Adams and Wabash.

Multiple parking garages are located immediately adjacent to our venue. For discounted rates, we recommend reserving your spot in advance using a service such as SpotHero or iParkit.

After entering our building, go left to the elevators and up to the third floor. From there, follow the signs to the ticket desk. A staff member will usher you into the hall.

Check out our video “How to find Guarneri Hall.”

Doors open 30 minutes before the performance begins. Seating is general admission; therefore we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes in advance of the concert start time, particularly for large groups hoping to sit together. While we’ll do our best, group seating cannot be guaranteed.

Due to the intimacy of the space, we cannot guarantee late arrivals will be seated together. To minimize disruption, late seating will be allowed during the first break between musical pieces.

Accessibility

Guarneri Hall is committed to ensuring that all audience members have equal access and opportunity to participate in and benefit from all of our programs, services and activities. Please visit our Accessibility Page for more information.

If you have questions about our ADA policies or would like to request accommodations, please send us a note via our contact form.

Lobby and Amenities

All Guarneri Hall Presents concerts are followed by a complimentary reception adjacent to our concert hall, featuring light refreshments and small bites, offering a chance to mingle with the artists. This is included with your ticket. Food and drink is not allowed inside the concert hall itself.

We offer complimentary coat storage for all attendees. If you have an oversized item that needs to be stored during the event (such as a suitcase) please ask a Guarneri Hall Staff member to assist you.

Hall Rules and Standards

Photography and recording during concerts are strictly prohibited due to copyright restrictions and the hall’s acoustic sensitivity. Please silence all electronic devices before the performance begins. You are welcome to take photos—with the artist’s consent—during the post-concert reception.

Yes, bags and backpacks are allowed. However, space is limited and items must fit snugly under your seat, so we ask that you bring only what you need and keep belongings out of aisles out of consideration for those around you.

Outside food and beverages, knives, firearms, ammunition, replicas of weapons, drones, laser pointers, controlled substances, and video/audio recording equipment are not allowed. Smoking and vaping are also prohibited on the premises. Additional prohibited items may be added at any time at the venue’s discretion.

Guarneri Hall has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind.  If you are made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please immediately report any concerns to staff so appropriate action can be taken. Such acts of harassment or discrimination may lead to ejection from the premises.
