Please join us in welcoming our newest team member, Tanya Landau. As Operations Manager, Tanya will be responsible for coordinating our ever-expanding schedule of live events and recordings. She’s already helping to prepare for the season ahead, and will be on hand for live events in Guarneri Hall beginning in August.

The Naumburg Foundation commissioned famed Chicago composer Shulamit Ran to write a solo piano piece for 2017 prizewinner Xiaohui Yang to premiere at her Carnegie Hall debut. Guarneri Hall has partnered with the Naumburg Foundation to produce a video of this new masterpiece, Ballade, played brilliantly by Xiaohui Yang.

See three amazing students from Chicago Musical Pathways Institute perform in recital at Guarneri Hall on May 16 at 6:30 PM. Violinists Andrei Nague, Sameer Agrawal, and Esme Arias Kim, all Guarneri Hall Junior Affiliate Artists, will be featured with pianist Lyudmila Lakisova. Admission is free with RSVP. Come and support these gifted young performers!

One of the highlights of Timothy Chooi’s Guarneri Hall program was contemporary composer Chen Gang’s Sunshine on Tashkurgan, which Timmy accurately described as a cross between klezmer and Chinese music. Guarneri Hall audience members can now get discounted parking at the 17 E. Adams garage next to our building. Just pull a ticket when you park, ask for a rebate slip at the concert, and use it on exit to receive a special $18 parking rate for the event.
