Join us on May 14 for the Guarneri Hall debut of mezzo-soprano and pianist Anastasia Antropova with pianist Boris Krivoshein. An Evening at the Salon will feature works for voice and solo piano by Mendelssohn, Schubert, Faure, and other composers of the romantic époque, with a special piano duo to end the night. Meet and mingle with the artists and other audience members at a reception following the evening’s performance.

Anastasia Antropova is a classical singer, also trained as a pianist and vocal coach. She performed her first opera role in the USA in the production of Bertha by Ned Rorem in 2021 (Chicago, Roosevelt University). She sang the role of a New York City Care Worker in Shendon’s On Call: Covid-19 and RN in Bluebeard’s Waiting Room by Granger. In 2023 she performed in Suor Angelica by Puccini, and sang the role of Carmen in Bizet’s Carmen during Chicago Summer Opera in 2023.

Chicago-based pianist Boris Krivoshein is a versatile collaborative pianist who is fluent in a wide range of musical styles. He is a laureate of many international competitions and masterclasses in USA, Italy, and the Netherlands.
