Pocket Philharmonic Debut!

The Pocket Philharmonic launched on January 19 with a highly successful concert at the Old Town School of Folk’s Szold Hall. The enthusiastic audience — students of all ages — heard Sergei Prokofiev’s War and Peace Overture and Johannes Brahms’ Double Concerto in A minor, Op. 102, performed by an 8-piece string ensemble with the father-son duo of Stefan Hersh (violin) and Alex Hersh (cello) as soloists. The program included audience interaction with the performers and a lively Q&A session.

Be sure to watch the Pocket Philharmonic website for news of future performances with this dynamic new ensemble “for the people.” If you’d like to hear the Pocket Philharmonic in your own community, please contact us here.
