From our Sounds of the Cold War in 2024 to 1945 in 2025, Guarneri Hall has invited audiences to join us in exploring connections between key historical events to the transformative power of music.

On November 11-12, 2026, we’ll continue that tradition with Revolutions, examining the intersections of political, social, technological, and musical change at two more pivotal moments in world history: 1796, following the French Revolution, and 1918, in the aftermath of World War I and the Russian Revolution. Social scientist Andreas Glaser and violinist/violin expert Stefan Hersh will add perspective to what promises to be a three-way conversation among scholars, musicians and the Guarneri Hall audience.
