How does change really happen? What is revolutionary change? Are there relationships between political revolution, social revolution and musical revolution? Guarneri Hall’s Revolutions festival explores these questions through the music and politics of two different years of global revolution: 1795, following the French Revolution, and 1918, after World War I and the Russian Revolution. Social scientist Andreas Glaser and violinist and violin expert Stefan Hersh will add perspective to what promises to be a three-way conversation among scholars, musicians and the Guarneri Hall audience.
