Violinist Andrei Nague

Violinist Andrei Nague is a student at Niles North High School and a fellow with the Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative (CMPI). He studies with Davis King. Andrei began playing the viola in 4th grade and switched to the violin two years later. After deciding to focus on violin, Andrei auditioned for the CMPI and was accepted into the program. Becoming a CMPI fellow gave Andrei access to private lessons, making him the first in his family to have the opportunity to pursue the serious study of music. Andrei Nague plays on an 19th-century Bohemian violin, courtesy of Darnton & Hersh Fine Violins and Guarneri Hall NFP.
