Matthew Zalkind Master Class

Tuesday, March 5, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm CST

Free
Matthew Zalkind, Cellist

Renowned Denver-based cellist Matthew Zalkind will teach a master class to five outstanding Chicago-area cello students, Manou Magdalena Chakravorty, Brandon Cheng, Emily Munn-Wood, Elijah Park, and Zack Sears, students of either Stephen Balderston, DePaul University School of Music, or Richard Hirschl, cellist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Artist Faculty at Chicago College of Performing Arts. The public is invited to observe (free, but RSVP required on this page). Praised for his “impressive refinement, eloquent phrasing, and singing tone” by The New York Times, Matthew Zalkind has performed throughout the United States and abroad as a recitalist, soloist and chamber musician. Mr. Zalkind also has a strong interest in teaching and outreach and we look forward to his visit to Guarneri Hall.
