Guarneri Hall is honored to co-present this concert with Chicago Symphony Orchestra oboist Michael Henoch’s Dempster Street Pro Musica. Four members of the NEXUS Chamber Music Chicago collective will perform along with Michael Henoch.

NEXUS Chamber Music Chicago, co-founded by violinist Brian Hong and cellist Alexander Hersh, is a collective of international musical artists who are committed to stimulating interest in serious chamber music in unlikely new audiences. Michael Henoch joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1972 at the invitation of Sir Georg Solti. He has appeared frequently as a soloist with the orchestra and has been active in several chamber ensembles, most notably The Chicago Chamber Musicians, of which he served as Artistic Director for nine seasons. He is currently an Associate Professor of Music at Northwestern University. Michael founded Dempster St. Pro Musica in 2008 and serves as its Artistic Director. Read more
