“Erlkönig” is a German Lied composed by Franz Schubert in 1815 and is based on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s poem of the same name. Among one of Schubert’s most famous works, the piece has been arranged by many composers including Franz Liszt and Hector Berlioz.
