Lynn Harrell Cello Master Class

Lynn Harrell’s presence is felt throughout the musical world. A consummate soloist, chamber musician, recitalist, conductor and teacher, his work throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia has placed him in the highest echelon of today’s performing artists. Guarneri Hall is thrilled to welcome Mr. Harrell to Guarneri Hall to give a master class for advanced cello students. The public is invited to observe (no admission charge, but RSVP required on this page).

Lynn Harrell presents master classes at prominent conservatories around the world. In his 60 years of renowned performances, this distinguished legend, at 75, continues to be in demand. Mr. Harrell has taught and held chairs at renowned music academies and conservatories, including the Royal Academy of Music in London, USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles and at Aspen Music Festival.

Rowena Bakke: Dvořák Concerto, 1st movement (student of Richard Hirschl) with Mizi Li, piano
James Cooper: Schubert Arpeggione Sonata, 1st movement (student of Hans Jorgen Jensen, Northwestern University) with Victor Asuncion, piano
Sihao He: Beethoven C major Sonata, 2nd movement (student of Hans Jorgen Jensen, Northwestern University) with Victor Asuncion, piano
Michael Zyzak: Shostakovich Concerto, cadenza only (student of Richard Hirschl, Roosevelt University)
