Transitions

Guarneri Hall (Virtual) Chicago, IL, United States

Giovanni Battista Viotti was a “rock star” of his day whose music deserves more contemporary attention. This witty, humorous, and sometimes experimental music falls squarely in the transition of music from the classical period of Mozart to the early romanticism of Beethoven and Schubert. The program includes a rebroadcast of Beethoven’s Kakadu variations for piano trio as well as a new Artist Spotlight featuring violinists Rannveig Marta Sarc and Brian Hong.

Note that our season events will no longer be live streamed, so we hope you will attend in person! We will continue to release innovative classical music videos of the artists who perform in Guarneri Hall; to be notified of new releases sign up for our newsletter.
